The Coast to Coast Fit and Friendly Challenge"

One of my dearest friends - Chris - and I have decide to "challenge" each other to fitness goals each week.  We're calling it "The Coast to Coast Fit and Friendly Challenge".  Chris is in Florida and my family is in Arizona ~ hence the title.

At the beginning of each week, one of us sets a challenge of total exercise time and then it is up to each of us to hit or beat that goal.  You can check out Chris's fitness blog at fitfaband40.blogspot.com to see what she hopes to accomplish.  She has been an awesome inspiration for me over the past year, and I'm so glad we can compare notes on our progress even though we're now 1000s of miles apart!  I hope to accomplish the ability to keep my jeans buttoned until I take them off at night to go to bed - the bottom line (pun intended).  Oh, and I'd like to have photos of myself without chicken fat arms as well.  

I admit these are not necessarily fitness goals, but rather appearance goals, and that suits me just fine!  It is nice to also set the example for my daughter that exercise can be fun and entertaining.

So, if anyone has suggestions for Chris and my 'coastal' challenge, let one of us know.  I think we're game for anything as long as stilts, unicycles, or unitards aren't involved.

Jul - Since no one piped in, should be we plan to sit on the couch all week? Totally kidding. How about a minimum of 30 minutes of walking, five days a week?
